Ukraine cut down pork exports by one third

In January-March 2019 Ukrainian enterprises exported to foreign markets 316 Mt of pork in volume, what was 1.5 times less than in January-March 2018; in value pork exports reduced by one third either to $702 thousand.

This has been spoken in Customs Statistics published in website of the State Fiscal Service (GFS). In accordance with the statistical data, pork imports into Ukraine over the reporting period went up 3.1 times in volume and 3.3 times in value to 7.4 thousand Mt and $13.5 million accordingly.

Variety meat and poultry exports from Ukraine, according to the GFS data for the reporting time, were 38.5% up in volume to 103.5 thousand Mt and 31.2% up in value to $146.9 million.

Imports of these products over January-March were 30.6 thousand Mt (-0.6% y-o-y). In value imports of poultry and variety meats were $12.3 million.

According to the UNIAN media source, Ukraine in 2018 cut pork exports down by one third, and increased poultry exports by 21%.
