Ukrainian pork exports grew by 40% in H1 2020

In January through June Ukraine has exported 1.4 thousand Mt of pork valued at $3.56 million, which was 39% up against last year pork exports (only 1 000 Mt). This was reported by the Ukraine State custom service.

In accordance with their statistics the top markets for the Ukrainian pork exports were: UAE with 139.41 thousand Mt at $2.34 (65.68% share), Hong Kong with 46.72 thousand Mt valued at $ 783 thousand (22% share) and Angola with pork exports of 8.99 thousand Mt in volume and $151 thousand in value (4.24% share). Other markets imported 17.13 thousand Mt of Ukrainian pork valued at $287 thousand.

It bears reminding that for the first time in a long period access of the Ukrainian pork exports to the foreign market was opened. The competent authority of the Republic of Singapore accredited a Ukrainian facility for export of heat-treated/canned pork and poultry meat.
