All infection sites of ASF disease have been eliminated in Moldova

Quarantine in Comrat imposed on September 27 due to the ASF in Moldova was lifted. Hence, it follows that all infection sites of the ASF disease are eliminated. It was reported by National Agency of Food Safety (ANSA).

It was reported by National Agency of Food Safety (ANSA). In its press-release ANSA informs of quarantine lifted in Comrat. So far all ASF infection sites in Moldova have been eliminated.

Totally 30 cases of the ASF were recorded in Moldova in 2019 including 26 cases revealed in domestic hogs. For a total 402 hogs and 13 wild boars were killed due to the ASF.

It should be noted that from 2016 to 2018 46 infection sites of the ASF were recorded in Moldova.
