Agricultural production in Belarus increased by 4.9% in January-November 2020

Agricultural organizations produced products valued at 18 billion BYN ($700.4 million), or 7.1% up in comparable prices than in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Almost 1.7 million Mt of livestock and poultry in live weight were grown in farms of all categories, which is 3% more than in January - November 2019, including 1.631 million Mt in agricultural organizations (3.5% up).

As of December 1, there were 4.2 million head of cattle in agricultural organizations (99.95% of the level as of the same date in 2019), including cows - 1.4 million head (0.1% up). The number of pigs amounted to 2.6 million head, which is 2% more than at the corresponding date of the previous year.

This year, agricultural organizations harvested 14.4 million t of feed units, which is 16.8% up against last year, of which 9.8 million t of grass feed (14.9% more). In terms of a basic unit for overall livestock, 34.7 centner of feed units were harvested (in 2019 - 28.7 centner), of which 30.9 centners of grass feed (in 2019 - 26.9 centner).
