Belarus extends restrictions on pork imports from Moldova due to ASF disease

Belarus extended temporary restrictions on pork imports from Moldova due to the African Swine Fever disease. Such information is available on the website of the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, BelTA reports.

Pork import to Belarus from Moldova is not yet allowed due to ASF

According to the World Animal Health Organization, outbreaks of susceptible animal species of African Swine Fever have been recorded in the territory of Glodyansky, Ungen and Leov districts of Moldova.

In this connection, temporary restrictions are extended on imports into Belarus from Moldova of live pigs, zoo and circus animals of susceptible species, pork (including wild boar meat) and other food pig raw materials, as well as products of their processing, leather, rogofetic and intestinal raw materials, bristles, hunting trophies obtained from animals of susceptible species, other products.

The Department informs of the need to take additional control measures to ensure biological protection of pig breeding complexes of all forms of ownership.
