Cherkizovo Group will invest over 55 billion rubles in new enterprises of the Tula region

Until 2025, Cherkizovo Group plans to invest over 55 billion rubles in new production facilities in the region. As part of the creation of the largest meat processing cluster in Russia, it will build a plant for slaughter, storage and processing of pig meat with a capacity of 4.2 million heads per year in the Tula region. The total amount of investments, whose financial partner is Gazprombank, will amount to 48 billion rubles.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the signing of the corresponding agreement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

The agreement was signed by General Director of Cherkizovo Group Sergey Mikhailov, Governor of the Tula Region Alexey Dyumin, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprombank Alexey Matveev.

Also at SPIEF, the Cherkizovo Group and the government of the Tula Region signed an investment agreement on the construction of a plant for slaughtering, primary and subsequent processing of broilers in the region in 2023–2025. The implementation of the project is estimated at 8.4 billion rubles.

The Governor of the Tula Region Alexei Dyumin noted that the creation of a cluster for processing meat products also includes 3.2 thousand new jobs. The project will be implemented on the territory of priority social and economic development "Efremov" and will be the largest meat processing cluster in Russia.
