The pigs number in northern Kazakhstan has increased by almost 20%

As of July 1, the number of cattle in the North Kazakhstan region amounted to 462.6 thousand heads (103.1% by 2018), sheep - 556.6 thousand heads (103.9%), pigs 209 thousand heads - (119.7%), horses - 162.2 thousand heads (106.8%), poultry - 5695.8 thousand heads (101.3%), the KazakhZerno.kz reports, citing data of the regional department statistics.
In households of the population contains the main proportion of livestock: cattle (61.5% of the total number of livestock); sheep (87%); pigs (83.4%); horses (73.1%).
In peasant or private farms: cattle (17.6%); sheep (10.2%); pigs (4.5%); horses (18.7%).
In agricultural enterprises: cattle (20.9%); sheep (2.8%); pigs (12.1%); horses (8.2%).
For January-June 2019 cow's milk yield is 255.2 thousand tons (101.4% by 2018), slaughtered in farms or sold for slaughter of all types of livestock and poultry 35 thousand tons (in live weight) (103.1%), chicken eggs 386.8 million units (104.5%).
