Slonim meat processing plant in Belarus sends frankfurters to Africa

Last year the Slonim meat processing plant in Belarus for the first time exported its products to Africa, to the Republic of Ghana, and recently sent the first batch of frozen frankfurters there. This is an unprecedented case for the meat industry of Belarus, writes gs.by. In an interview with the publication, the general director of the Slonim meat processing plant Sergey Skiba said that the company is gaining its niche step by step. In the past year, new markets appeared in its “piggy bank”. In the spring, the plant first exported its products to the Republic of Ghana (Africa), and recently sent the first batch of frozen frankfurters there.

This is an unprecedented case for the meat industry of Belarus, the publication states. Also recently shipped the first batch of beef to China. The company went to this event for three long years, for which it was necessary to use the potential of the entire team, the general director noted. In 2020, the company strengthened its position in the developed markets (Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Georgia, Vietnam, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Iran), and also continued the course towards export diversification.
