Shipments of US pork arrive in Hong Kong

The US has shipped a consignment of chilled pork to Hong Kong to help alleviate the supply issue currently taking place in the region.

With the establishment of this continuous supply chain, US chilled pork is available in the Hong Kong market from December 2019. This import initiative has been taken to fill the supply-demand gap for pork amid rising fresh pork prices and to offer an alternative to consumers at an affordable price.
