Canadian pork and beef exports to China will be resumed

Chinese custom service discovered in summer of this year residues of feed additive ractopamine residues in pork imports from Canada to China. China then stopped purchasing pork in Canada. The investigation revealed that up to 188 veterinary certificates in the batch were fake.

The Chinese side noted that there are problems in the management system of meat exports from Canada, as the certificates were obtained by the Chinese authorities through the Canadian certificate registration authority.
