U.S. Industry Sustainability Promoted at Popular Music Festival in Korea

Nearly 5,000 attendees lined up for U.S. beef and pork and to compete for prizes by answering questions about U.S. agriculture and for following U.S. meat story channels on social media

USMEF was a sponsor and promoted sustainability at the Grand Mint Festival, one of Seoul’s most popular outdoor music festivals featuring five music stages and attracting more than 35,000 attendees, most in their 20s and 30s. The festival endorsed a “green” theme, featuring eco-friendly artists and programs.

USMEF utilized social media to promote the festival and sustainability practices of U.S. industry before, during and after the show. Funding support was provided by the National Pork Board, the Beef Checkoff Program and USDA’s Agricultural Trade Promotion program.
