Production pork in Pskov Region fell almost to 20 percent

Production pork in Pskov Region in January–September 2021 fell almost to 20 percent in comparison with the similar period of last year. As Territorial body of Federal State Statistics Service on Pskov region reports, in nine months of this year in the region made 74 517,6 tons svine, which is 82.2% of the pork produced in the nine months of 2020.

In the summer of 2021, a regional emergency was introduced in the Pskov region due to the epizootic of African swine fever: the emergency zone affected Pskov, Dedovichsky, Dnovsky, Plyussky, Porkhovsky, Pskov, Strugokrasnensky and Bezhanitsky districts.
